Whether it is over an afternoon, a week or several months, there are informations we would like to share with you before you come to Bel-Air.
To start, we invite you to consult the values of the eco-village before coming to be sure to be in line with them.
Then in a second time, if it is not already done, we ask you to send us an email specifying the time you want to stay and the reason for your visit (give a hand on a half-day, visit, do wwoofing,…). We would like to take this opportunity to point out that despite our efforts to open up the ecovillage, we also wish to take care of our need for privacy and rest. Thus, some requests may be difficult to fulfil.
ORGANISATION OF YOUR DAY
We trust you to manage your day yourself. Suggestions for activities with schedules will be made daily and you will be free to participate or not depending on your energy and feelings of the moment. The same applies to the necessities inherent in our daily lives (cooking, crockery, storage, etc.).
ACCOMODATION AND SANITARY
As we do not yet have a proper space to welcome you, we ask you to manage your accomodation (tent, motorhome, van). If you have difficulties to find something to sleep on, don’t hesitate to specify it in your message, maybe we will have a tent available!
Outdoor showers will be available.
Only biodegradable hygiene products will be allowed on the site. This includes soap, shampoo, toothpaste, sunscreen and deodorant. If you don’t have any, no problem, Lynn makes her own cosmetics and can provide you with some for the duration of your stay.
Meals are organic, vegetarian, seasonal and in a zero-waste movement. In addition, some residents do not wish to eat dairy products and as little gluten as possible, so the dishes will be prepared accordingly.
Just installed, we are obviously not yet self-sufficient. We therefore invite everyone to participate freely and consciously in order to be able to welcome people who wish to come to our place. This can mean participating in a common pot or bringing organic (or natural) food with as little packaging as possible. For example: cereals (rice, millet, buckwheat, couscous, bulgur, oats), legumes (lentils, chickpeas, beans), vegetables, fruit, jam if you wish! Of course, do the best you can and as you feel!
In addition, if you have a special diet, allergies or health problems that you think are relevant to report before your visit, don’t hesitate to tell us about them. We will do our best to take this into account.
In order to preserve the tranquility of all the little ones on the site, we do not welcome, except in exceptional cases, any non-human animals outside of Bel-Air.
The Bel-Air Village is a non-smoking place, so we encourage every smoker to enjoy the clean air of Bel-Air to the fullest. However, if some people wish to consume tobacco, a specific place is dedicated.
If you want to help us materially, take a look at this page, you will find a list of the materials we are currently looking for.
